My grandfather told me a story where he went to the bank to withdraw money to buy groceries and when checking how much money they gave him, he saw they gave him $200 extra dollars. In those days, it was a lot of money and would have helped him alot, but he thought though it may be good for him, what about the bank and the person that made the mistake?
He went back to the bank and gave the money back to the teller. The next time he went to the bank, the teller came up to him and asked to shake his hands. When he did, the teller thanked him profusely for it saved his job.
Years later he found out that that same man went to become the manager of the bank. Each time my grandfather goes to that bank, the manager finds him and makes sure everything is ok.
Our good deeds do have an impact in the world.
