I’m not knocking being single; its true, sometimes being single is great and a reflection of character when its one’s choice. A symbol of independence and inner strength.
But the other part of it seems… it hurts my head.
Being independent is great but being that way in that you only look out for yourself is.. selfish.. being independent so that you can spread your love and affection (I don’t mean sleeping around) with more around you is better.
A real partner won’t hurt you; and if it does, tell them; if you’re really meant to be then they are most likely looking out for things that will hurt you and try to protect you from them. And when they can’t protect you, they’ll stand right next to you and support you when you falter.
Love is not jealous.. love understands, trusts, and wants you to be as happy as possible.

whoa…were did you get that quote from? There ARE so many things wrong with that. I agree being single can be fun because you’re living a drama free life and you don’t have to worry about anyone but yourself and your needs. But sometimes, it’s nice to be with that right someone and it’s no longer about you but the two of you.
